better, or for worse, they dominate news headlines, become paparazzi bait, and, 
with or without talent, command our attention.So which new faces made 2011 
their breakout year?Rooney MaraWe got a taste of the New York native, 
granddaughter of longtime co-owner of the Giants, Wellington Mara, in The Social 
Network last year, but 2011 that Mara became a big star. First, 
the young actress starred in the coming-of-age drama Tanner Hall, directed by 
Tatiana von Furstenberg and Francesca Gregorini, and later managed to score a 
very coveted cover  the cover of U.S. Vogue. She also has 
tongues wagging worldwide with her portrayal of Lisbeth Salander in the highly-anticipated 
Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, a role which also got her a 
Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress.The Middleton SistersThis time a year ago, 
wed just learned really who Kate Catherine Middleton was after Prince Willia
 pport of the law and in front of a large audience is 
his State of the Union address on Jan. 24. He used that 
occasion in 2010 to blast the Supreme Court for its ruling in 
a campaign finance case and this past year used the speech before 
a joint session of Congress to defend his health care law. A 
senior White House official said it's too early to know whether the 
matter will be included in the upcoming speech.What's also not clear is 
how much attention the president is paying to the behind-the-scenes work leading 
up to the March arguments at the court. The justices will hear 
four cases challenging various aspects of the law. Its most controversial provision 
requires every American to buy insurance or pay a penalty. Earlier this 
year, the 11th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals in Atlanta said that 
mandate goes beyond the bounds of the Constitution.The case's first key date 
in 2012 comes Friday when opening briefs are due at the high 
court. Those include one from
