APDec. 28, 2011: Iowa State Sen. Kent Sorenson speaks at a rally

accusing a former supporter of being bought off by the Ron Paul
campaign after the Iowa state lawmaker defected to the Paul camp on
Wednesday.State Sen. Kent Sorenson, who was a Bachmann campaign Iowa co-chairman and
had appeared with the congresswoman just hours earlier, on Wednesday resigned from
the Bachmann team and endorsed Paul in Des Moines.Sorenson said he resigned
from Bachmann's campaign to join the most conservative of the top-tier candidates.But
Bachmann offered a different version of events, claiming Sorenson was offered money
to bolt."Kent Sorenson personally told me he was offered a large sum
of money to go to work for the Paul campaign," Bachmann said
in a statement. "Kent campaigned with us earlier this afternoon and went
immediately afterward to a Ron Paul event and announced he is changing
