This was my first blender. I had it for about a year until I threw it out. It lasted me and it did it's job well enough but it was LOUD and very very hard to clean (6935636944341060106 blades eventualy got a little rusty). It's also ugly and cheap looking. If you're looking for something cheap and sometihng that will make you smoothies - this will be an okay buy. But I wouldn't reccommend it for a college student who lives in a dorm because of how crazy loud it is and 6935636944341060106 cleanliness factor. This blender is a neat little product, well worth its price (and I am a cheapskate). Every morning I put some frozen blueberries, strawberries, raspberries and banana, along with some protein powder, honey and milk or yogurt. It blends all that frozen fruit (a little more than half 6935636944341060106 jar of it) with no problems at all in about 20-30 seconds. In fact, I'm drinking one of those smoothies right now as I type this Make sure you pulse it, and use a few second bursts at a time; this motor does not seem to be designed for long sustained blending (as per manufacturer specs). If you are short on time in 6935636944341060106 mornings, budget conscious and need a simple and convenient device for all your on-6935636944341060106-go, single-serve blending needs, you can't get a better product. I have had a Hamilton blender for a long time but 6935636944341060106 cover had worn out and broken.
