<p><em>"You're going to have a stroke or a heart attack before you leave this building."</em></p>
<p>That's what the nurse told my dad.</p>
<p>She had just checked his blood pressure and it was a deadly 155/90.</p>
<p>When I heard the news, my mind raced back to my own blood pressure scare just a few short years before.</p>
<p>Thankfully, after some frantic research, I had stumbled upon an all-natural blood pressure fix that normalized my blood pressure in a matter of weeks.</p>
<p>I felt a quiet calm come over me as I thought back to how far I had come.</p>
<p>If it worked for me, it would work for my dad, too.</p>
<p>I took a deep breath and said quietly into the phone, <em>"Dad... you're going to be ok."</em></p>

<p style="font-size:xx-small;">WASHINGTON The Pentagon says U.S. Central Command and the Jordanian Armed
Forces are co-hosting Mideast defense chiefs in Jordan over the next few
days to discuss the region's security environment. The chairman of the Joint
Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Martin Dempsey, is attending. The meeting, planned
since June, comes as the U.S. and other nations ponder what action
to take, if any, in the wake of reports that the Syrian
government has used chemical weapons in its civil war. Although Syria denies
such claims, they are certain to be a leading topic for the
gathering.A Defense Department spokesman, George Little, says the exchange
is designed in part to increase the collective understanding of the impact
of regional conflicts on nations. The conference is set for Sunday to Tuesday.
JERUSALEM Prominent Israeli Cabinet ministers are calling for a U.S.-led
response to an alleged chemical attack in Syria last week that the
prime minister describes as a "terrible crime."Benjamin Netanyahu told his
Cabinet Sunday that "this situation cannot continue." Justice Minister Tzipi
Livni told Israel Radio that a U.S. response to the alleged poison
gas attack would help discourage future chemical weapons use, but also have
security implications for Israel.Intelligence Minister Yuval Steinitz told
Army Radio the attack requires a response. He said the chances that
Syria would attack Israel as a result of U.S. action were slim
but that the army should be prepared for such an eventuality.Neither Netanyahu
nor the ministers specified what type of response they were urging. The
U.S. is considering military options.
