[rohrpost] Broeckmann Balloon: A Cultural Tragedy

With her complex picture drafts the German-Australian Photographer and 
Filmmaker Beate Zurwehme was promoted to the most well-known 
avant-garde artist of her countries. Born 1960 in Brisbane as quarter 
Aborigine, the artist refer in her work both to the cultural roots of 
the white anglo-saxon environment and those of the Australian natives. 
Tensions between these worlds determine the topics of their work. 2006 
become her intervention "Broeckmann Balloon: A Cultural Tragedy" at 
transmediale Festival witnessed. "Bath God Evil" was shown in Cannes 
2003. 2007 Zurwehme will be represented to the Biennale in Venice and 
in this year their photographies and films will be shown in the Female 
Arts Center for Gender related Reality Deconstruction in New York.
