Reloading Images: Tehran-Berlin / Work in Progress 2007 is a practical
and theoretical research project on changing artistic and curatorial
strategies in the context of the two cities. The project is a
collaboration between the two independent artist initiatives Reloading
Images (Berlin) and parkingallery (Tehran). By including workshops,
lectures and public presentations the project tries to discuss and
reflect the circumstances of working in a non-institutional and
politically loaded context. 
The final presentation is an attempt to visualize the process and the
discussions of the project along with and in connection to the
exhibition of the individual and group works that were created during
the workshop.
The project started in January 2007 through weekly meetings of the
participants in each city. In July/August the Berlin artists, art
students and scholars visited Tehran to work with the Iranian
participants for three weeks. During the last three weeks the project
has continued in Berlin.
