Dear rohrpost-list!

My name is Varujan Abbaghian, I'm independent curator from Yerevan, Armenia.

I organize a gallery show for a major venue in Yerevan, Armenia in
November 2010. The show will be headlined GHETTO! ART! BREAKOUT! I
historically reseach artistic expression and breakout scenarios, that
collapse the boundaries of ethnic enclaves. I am certain to find
political works that derive a strong sensual power from this context.

For the contemporary selection I still look for artist individuals and
groups that deal with this very subject artistically with extensive
usage of new media technology. I am particulary interested in artist
from the following places: Gaza, Palestine; Rio de Janeiro, Brasil;
Soweto, South Africa.

I am very much appreciating any information and ideas about artists
originating from the places mentioned above.

PS. I'm writing to the german list, because I have a special
interrested in artist who live abroad and have a external perspective.
Also I currently stay in Berlin and look forward to meet artists!
