Internationaler PhD Workshop und Konferenz organisiert vom Digital Aesthetics Research Centre/Centre for Digital Urban Living der Aarhus Universität in Zusammenarbeit mit der transmediale und der Universität der Künste in Berlin.

Der Workshop und die Konferenz richten sich an PhD Studenten, die das aktuelle transmediale Thema in/compatible erforschen werden. Insgesamt werden 15 PhD Researcher aus unterschiedlichen Ländern ausgewählt und dazu eingeladen, zunächst einen Diskussionsprozess auf einem Blog einzuleiten und anschließend am PhD Workshop am 16.-18. November im Vilém Flusser Archive der Universität der Künste in Berlin teilzunehmen. Die Ergebnisse dieses Prozesses werden in einer transmediale thematischen Publikation veröffentlicht und als Teil des Programms während des Festivals 2012 präsentiert. 
Einreichungen bestehen aus einer Biografie (500 Zeichen), Beschreibung des aktuellen PhD Projektes (1000 Zeichen), einem Entwurf für die paper Präsentation (1500 Zeichen) und sind über die online-Form einzureichen:  http://www.transmediale.de/content/registration-form-incompatibleresearch

Benachrichtigung: 15. September, 2011

We are looking for proposals from PhD researchers to take part in this international workshop and conference to explore the forthcoming theme of transmediale: in/compatible. A total of 15 PhD international researchers will be selected and asked to participate: firstly initiating a discussion process in a blog, and then in the PhD workshop held at the Universität der Künste, Vilém Flusser Archive in Berlin, Nov. 16-18. The outcome of the process will be published in a transmediale thematic publication and presented as part of the programme of the festival in 2012. 
We are seeking proposals consisting of a biography (500 characters), a statement on current research/description of PhD project (1000 characters), and an abstract for a paper presentation (1500 characters). Extended Deadline: Aug. 22, 2011
Acceptance: Sept. 15, 2011
