It is in our movement that we give ourselves away. Our trails reveal a
course that, when mapped, indicates our design. So we are tracked and our
presence logged. The evidence has been gathered before the crime is
committed, yet we are suspects nevertheless, mobile and network technologies
the ever eager vigilante.

Tracing Mobility is a project that sets out to examine the shifting terrain
of global versus individual mobility and how its hand in hand development
with networked infrastructure is transforming our conceptions of time, space
and distance.

Following events in the UK, Warsaw and the Croatian coast in 2010,
Trampoline will present the exhibition, ‘Tracing Mobility – Cartography and
Migration in Networked Space’, at the Haus der Kulturen der Welt in November
2011, alongside an open platform of ideas.

In the expectation that many interesting projects and speakers on the theme
exist already, we intend to provide a space that encourages input from
cultural sectors that fall outside of our radar. Therefore, the curators are
inviting artists, cultural practitioners, researchers, NGO’s and the
interested public to contribute to the Tracing Mobility Open Platform in the
form of presentations, interventions, performances, workshops, or any other
activity responding to the theme. To drive this forward, we are holding a
pitching event where we are especially eager to hear from projects which
explore participation in network activity, especially where they intersect
with the mobility of individuals, their freedom of movement, their freedom
of self expression and their freedom of conducting economic activity.

If you are interested in taking part, or are simply curious, then we invite
you to join us on May 29th at 20.30h over a drink and a nibble at Neu Bar.

Please get in touch with us ASAP to announce your attendance or to request
further information.
