the phrase “Ecology of Spirit” has been used. Against all assilimated
spellings “dOCUMENTA (13)”, “documenta”, Documenta”, “…menta” a Writing
Marathon asks how to cut this up.

During the mini-residency Mariko sets up small objects all over the
city, takes photos and uploads them to a dedicated website or magazine.
Work includes:

– high quality art work in the gaps between the buildings;
– small objects from stones or branches;
– books with small marks at some secondhand bookseller;
– strange fruits on the trees;
– an old man on the same bench everyday

Art al Quadrat: Calling Home / zu Hause anrufen

Calling Home is an audiovisual project based on the personal experience
of twin sisters Gema and Mònica del Rey Jordà (Art al Quadrat) who will
be separated in the week of the residency. During this period Gema will
sojourn in Kassel where she will live Documenta 13 and all the parallel
activities. Meanwhile Mònica will remain in Sagunt, their hometown,
preparing her PhD thesis on twin artists.
