[rohrpost] Hypernatural sounds: on sampling/re-sampling/un-sampling

Dear rohrpost followers,


I hereby invite you to an exploration of the aspects and uses of
sampling – *Hypernatural
sounds: on sampling/re-sampling/un-sampling* is more than a musical event.
In three musical performances followed by a discussion we try to expand the
varied facets of sampling as a creative technique – from its historical
roots to the very personal use of expression by the musicians being present.


Looping, chopping, filtering, serializing, the quest for originality, the
use of found material, and how the re-contextualization of sounds
contributes to an immersive experience for the musicians and the audience
--  these will be the foci addressed and felt throughout the evening.
