A Series of Lectures, Talks, and Presentations. Through panels, lectures, 
one-on-one interviews, and performances, the Discourse programme, stimulates 
a broad and free-roaming discussion on the ramications of CTM 2015's theme 
Un Tune from the multiple perspectives of different artists, cultural 
theorists, researches, lecturers, and more. 

The interconnected series of Discourse revolves around the wide range of artistic strategies and movements 
examined during CTM's programme.

Housed at the Kunstquartier Bethanien's Studio 1, the Discourse series of talks and lectures will run Monday 26.1. – Sunday 1.2.2015.

Highlights include a day devoted to Archaeoacoustics on Wednesday 28th, with contributions from Paul Devereux, Rupert Till, and Iegor Reznikoff among others; a day exploring the topic of Neuro Sonics on Thursday 29th featuring a lecture by neuro scientist Maria Witek and an exchange on psychoacoustics in artistic practice between Marcus Schmickler, Alberto de Campo and professor Stefan Weinzierl of the Berlin technical University. Friday 30th explores Alien Agency through thematically-linked discussions and happenings with Chris Salter, Andrew Pickering, Emptyset, Eleni Ikoniadou and more. On Saturday 31.1. Marie Thompson, co-editor of Sound, Music, Affect: Theorizing Sonic Experience (2014), lectures on "Noise, Affect and the Poetics of Transgression", while Marcus Boon discusses the "Politics of Vibration". Over at the MusicMakers Hacklab, a high profile series of free presentations by Thomas Landrain, Atau Tanaka, Kelly Snook, Rachel Armstrong and Marco Donnarumma explores entaglements between sound, biology, the body and performance.
