Soundwatch - Berlin Music Film Festival launches its first edition with 
the Berlin premiere of Liberation Day, a documentary musical chronicling 
Slovenian industrial band Laibach's performance in Pyöngyang. Laibach 
was the first foreign rock band ever to perform in North Korea.

The film screens on November 8, 7 p.m., at silent green Kulturquartier, 
Gerichtstraße 35, 13347 Berlin-Wedding. Afterwards, co-director Morten 
Traavik will join in via Skype for a Q&A.

 From November 9 to 25, 16 music documentaries will screen at 
Lichtblick-Kino, Kastanienallee 77, 10435 Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg. The 
films feature musicians such as The Clash, Peaches, MacKaye, Michael 
Gira, Kim Gordon, Twisted Sister, Feine Sahne Fischfilet and others and 
explore topics such as the queercore movement, DIY music scenes in the 
USA, the legendary freeform radio station WFMU, the Berlin-Riga rave 
connection in the late 1980s and other themes. More information about
