Im Rahmen der ersten Ausgabe von Soundwatch - Berlin Music Film Festival 
(www.soundwatch.de) präsentieren wir als Special zum Abschluß des 40. 
Jubiläumsjahres der Charta 77 erstmalig in Deutschland das Programm 
*Underground Uncovered: Plastic People of the Universe and 70s/80s 
Prague Alternative Music Scene* mit kürzlich wiederentdeckten und 
restaurierten Filmarbeiten von Jan Ságl, einem der bedeutendsten 
zeitgenössischen tschechischen Fotografen. Neben seinen prägenden Fotos 
der Bands Plastic People of the Universe und The Primitives Group hat 
Ságl Anfang der 70er Jahre auch Kurzfilme über die Musiker und die 
Underground Community um sie herum gedreht. Im Lichtblick-Kino werden 
Filme über Plastic People of the Universe und den tschechoslowakischen 
Musikunderground der 70er und 80er Jahre von Jan Ságl, Čaroděj OZ, Pigi, 
Pablo de Sax, Stanislav Hora u.a. gezeigt.

As part of the first edition of Soundwatch - Berlin Music Film Festival 
(www.soundwatch.de) we present, for the first time in Germany,  the 
special program *Underground Uncovered: Plastic People of the Universe 
and 70s/80s Prague Alternative Music Scene* with recently rediscovered 
and restored  film works by Jan Ságl, one of the most significant 
contemporary Czech photographers. In addition to his iconic photos of 
the bands Plastic People of the Universe and The Primitives Group, Ságl 
also shot, in the early 1970s,  Super 8 shorts about these musicians and 
the underground artistic community around them. At Lichtblick-Kino we 
will screen films featuring Plastic People of the Universe and other 80s 
and 80s Czechoslovakian experimental rock, punk and post-punk musicians. 
The films were made by Jan Ságl, Čaroděj OZ, Pigi, Pablo de Sax and 
Stanislav Hora.
