gramophone grooves cut onto x-rays of skulls, ribcages and bones have

Synthesize: An Analog Love Story (engl. OV)

A Ukrainian musician travels to Canada to meet the one repairman she 
believes can resurrect her beloved father’s synthesizer, a Polivoks. A 
film with sweet performances and an almost gear-porn array of 
instruments, wires and components, written for and created by synth 
lovers. Featuring Jay Lemak (Toronto’s top synth repairman) and a 
soundtrack made with “98% analog synthesizers.”
Als der geliebte Vintagesynthesizer einer ukrainischen Musikerin den 
Geist aufgibt, begibt sie sich nach Toronto zu dem Reparaturmann, dessen 
YouTube-Tutorials sie glauben lassen, nur er könnte das Instrument 
wieder zum Leben erwecken. Ein Film von und für Synth-Nerds, mit 
liebenswürdigen Hauptdarstellern – menschlichen wie elektronischen – und 
einem Soundtrack, der »zu 98 % auf analogen Geräten« komponiert und 
eingespielt wurde.

The Velvet Underground Played At My High School (engl. OV)

This animated short recounts the first gig of musical trailblazers The 
Velvet Underground—in 1965, in front of a crowd of shocked kids at a New 
Jersey high school. The downtown avantgarde music scene meets Jersey 
suburbia.
Animierter Kurzfilm über den ersten Gig der musikalischen Erneuerer The 
Velvet Underground – 1965, in einer Vorstadtoberschule in New Jersey, 
vor einem geschockten Teenagerpublikum. Die New Yorker Avantgarde trifft 
auf was später Jersey Shore wurde.
