In September 2018, photographers from Istanbul 
and Berlin met with the idea of a Tandem Exchange 
during a one week workshop. In small mixed groups 
they explored the city and then discussed their 
work with all participants on a daily base. This 
exhange resulted in an exhibition of divers 
personal views, showing people and urban spaces 
in Berlin, rendered by the photographer's cadrage 
(kadraji), the photographic means of point of 
view, abstraction, exposure and editing.

A joint project of the twin-city project between 
Istanbul/Kadiköy and Berlin/Friedrichshain 
Kreuzberg. Under the umbrella of the partnership 
organisation Kadiköy e.V., together with 
Photocentrum of Gilberto-Bosques-Volkshochschule 
and Nazim Hikmet Cultural Centre Kadiköy.
