Hallo rohrpostler,

*DE* / Die „Kin City“-Textserie untersucht sozio-ökologische 
Perspektiven auf Gleichheit und Gerechtigkeit sowie neue Möglichkeiten 
und Vorstellungen für grenzübergreifende (etwa: transnationale und 
post-identitäre) Allianzen zwischen den Enteigneten und Ausgebeuteten 
innerhalb der Metabolismen von Städten und zwischen Städten. Der Fokus 
auf Kämpfe innerhalb urbaner Stoffwechsel zielt darauf ab, neue 
Erkenntnisse über die regionalen und globalen Verflechtugen von Städten 
zu gewinnen. Darauf verweist im Projekttitel „Kin City“ der Begriff 
„kin“. Er bedeutet wörtlich Verwandtschaft und bezieht sich hier auf die 
Verbindungen und Beziehungen, die unsere Welt zusammenhalten (Deborah 
Bird Rose, 2011) und die verwobene Formen sozialer, räumlicher und

*EN* / The “Kin City” project seeks to explore socio-ecological 
perspectives on equity and justice, and new possibilities and 
imaginaries for cross-border (i.e. multi-racial, transnational, 
post-identitarian) alliances among the expropriated and exploited within 
the metabolisms of cities and between cities. The focus on struggles 
within and between urban metabolisms is intended to shed new light on 
cities in relation to their regional and global contexts. This is 
suggested not least by the term “kin” in the project title “Kin City,” 
defined here as a kinship based on a deep sense of the connections and 
relationships that hold our world together (Deborah Bird Rose, 2011) and 
that ultimately enable interwoven forms of social, spatial, and
