Information about the Application
- Application form with projekt proposal, curriculum vitae, and
information on
grants/stipends received to date.
- It is not required that the project / artwork be finished within the
six month stipend.
- documentation of artistic work: photos (max. 24 x 33 cm incl. mat) and
/ or slides and /
or catalogues (max. 3), for video projects only: VHS or S-VHS cassettes
(max. 15 min.),
=46or CD-ROM and Internet projects only: CD-ROM und URLs
no originals, no press texts

Guidelines
1. Applications must be sent by February 15, 2002 (post date). Late and
unreadable entries
will not be accepted.
2. Only materials as listed above will be accepted. No originals or
press texts.
3. Only applications for artists will be accepted. No institutions.
4. Only one entry per person, per year will be accepted.
The Edith Russ Site for Media Art handles all materials very carefully.
In light of the large amount
of material we must process, we can not be held responsible for any
damages to materials. The
return of materials will be sent by regular mail. The Edith Russ Site
for Media Art can not be held
responsible for damages through the mail. All information will only be
used for the stipend
application and is considered private.

Information on the Program
Work Stipend
20.000 German Marks (Euro 10.225,84) for the support of artistic
development in new media.
The Edith Russ Site for Media Art Stipend lasts for six months and can
not be extended. The
artist(s) are not required to stay in Oldenburg for the duration of the
stipend. There is, however,
an apartment for the artist in the guest house, which can be reserved by
appointment. The artist
will be integrated into the site=92s activities and required to be open to
the public for at least three
dates for, for instance, lectures, workshops, artist discussions etc.
The dates and forms of these
presentations will be set by the artist together with the Edith Russ
Site for Media Art.

Information on the Edith Russ Site for Media Art
This institution is dedicated to addressing current questions on media
art on many levels.
Exhibitions and series of presentations are regularly given by artists
and theorists. In addition, this
institution also contributes to the public discourse on art and new
media with workshops that
develop artistic-medial projects, which are held in conjunction with the
Carl von Ossietzky
University and its media art post-graduate program.
