"Enduring freedom" strikes me as having strangely ambivalent qualities akin
to those manifest by a forward-backward-upside-downward razorfish statement
(disclaimer)=2E

Enduring freedom has a grit-your-teeth feel about it, which comes across as
a chore and a burden: connotations of having to endure freedom??? As opposed
to the soaring beatitude of actually enduring freedom???

Then again, "unlimited justice" as the earlier option was pretty scary=2E=2E=
=2E

who makes up these retainer disclaimer brandwagons anyway?


Lorenzo, the email that bounced on September 9th was just a sort of quiet
obituary concerning somebody many of us sorely missed in Linz; the mail was
titled "unpardonable omission" but not sent again so fast because the person
who launched that crazy adventure called "Time's up" had a wild imagination
but I guess events a couple of days after this message outstripped even Just
Merrit's crazy humachine visions=2E Here 'tis as one screen of silence for
Just=2E


Ars afterthought
the party down at the harbour was good=2E There was a full moon over the bla=
ck
expanse of water stretching between us and the steel works, picturesquely
framed by those two crazy palm trees "donated" by the Linz city council=2E
There was good music and room to stretch out on deck chairs that looked over
the harbour, or on the crowded house verandah, or to wander beyond the
barrier up the road to noman's stalker territory lit up by the moon=2E Many
spectres were there but the most present spectre for many of us was a friend
in a wheelchair who built this strange, congenial community years ago=2E
Time's up=2E Just (was) missed=2E
