for those who can not get enough of the constant reruns of disaster
footage on tv, The Guardian site, under the rubric of "interactive
reports" offers a grizzly little flash page where users can click on a
map and see reconstructions of the flight paths of the four hijacked
planes, each one ending in a little animated explosion.  And for years I
thought The Guardian was one of Europe's most intelligent
newspapers.....
