BECOMINGS/DEVENIRS. Contemporary Art
-- Devenirs (Becomings). Contemporary art in South Eastern Europe
-- The exhibition Devenirs (Becomings). Contemporary art in South Eastern
Europe started its tour in Tirana (Albania) on August 15th at the National
Gallery of Art. It will stay in Tirana until September 13th.
-- The Exhibition presents the works of twenty artists from South Eastern
Europe. These works have been selected by the Curator Andrι Rouillι in each of
the countries and regions of origin of the works of art.

-- The artists are:
Nenad Andric, Igor Antic, Aleksandar Battista-Ilic, Mehmet Behluli, Sokol
Beqiri, Alban Hajdinaj, Ivan Ilic, Damijan Kracina, Andreja Kuluncic, Tanja
Ostojic, Sanja Perisic, Tobias Putrih, Igor Rakcevic, Tomo Savic-Geca, Nebojsa
Seric-Soba, Erzen Shkololli, Aleksandar Stankovski, Zaneta Vangeli, Saso
Vrabic.
-- The countries and regions of South Eastern Europe are: Albania, Bosnia,
Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Slovenia.
-- The Exhibition will tour in South Eastern and Western Europe according to
the following schedule:
2001
- Albania > August 15 th : Tirana/National Gallery of Art
- Serbia: (to be fixed)
- Macedonia: (to be fixed)
2002
- Kosovo > January 15th : Prishtina/The Kosovo Art Museum
- Slovenia > March 11th : Ljubljana/City Art Museum
- Croatia > April 20th : Zagreb/HDLU
- France > September 9th : Paris/Chapelle de la Sorbonne
-- In Paris, an international symposium will be organised at the Sorbonne on
the theme How does art become WITH the world? European perspectives on
September 13th and 14th 2002.
-- In France and in Western Europe other places are going to be fixed.
-- A 160 pages french-english book-catalogue is published.
