We would like to present you the Mediateca, a documentation  centre
promoting knowledge and research in the field of contemporany art, music
and multimedia art.

Mediateca, presented as a part of the new art center Caixa  Forum, Fundaci=
=F3
"La Caixa" Contemporany Art Collection, located in  Barcelona, organizes
regular activities to provide us a forum for debate,  dialogue and
exchanges of art ideas.  Seminars, meetings, symposiums and debates in our
centre aims  to bring a wide and varied audience to the work of different
artists and  discussions of current issues in multimedia art and theorical
reflection  presented by experts, among other initiativies such as
video-art, music, net-art  programs, produced by other multimedia art
centers or festivals. The Mediateca programme of activities seeks
particularly to  compare and contrast the work of artists with new
creators. The aim is not to  show finished works as to foster dialogue
about the stance these take towards  art and society.
