Le Studio XX recherche une coordonnatrice =E0 la programmation.




Le Studio XX est un centre d=92arts m=E9diatiques et de ressources multim=E9=
dias
pour femmes. Notre mandat est double : nous favorisons tant la diffusion
que la cr=E9ation d=92=9Cuvres d=92art technologique et num=E9rique cr=E9=E9=
es par les
femmes.

La coordonnatrice =E0 la programmation est responsable de la coordination de=
s
=E9v=E9nements artistiques du Studio XX, des relations et des projets de
collaboration avec les artistes ainsi que des r=E9sidences. Elle coordonne l=
a
s=E9rie Les Femmes br@nch=E9es, les =E9v=E9nements sp=E9ciaux, les=
 collaborations et
les co-productions avec d'autres centres d'artistes et individus. Elle
supervise le bulletin =E9lectronique mensuel et le contenu du site Web.
Enfin, elle assiste la directrice g=E9n=E9rale lors de la r=E9daction des
demandes de subvention. Elle travail avec un comit=E9 de programmation.

La candidate id=E9ale poss=E8de une tr=E8s bonne connaissance des nouvelles
technologies et des arts m=E9diatiques (notamment l'art Web), elle comprend
les enjeux reli=E9s aux centres d'artistes autog=E9r=E9s et elle excelle=
 dans le
travail d=92=E9quipe. Elle est une tr=E8s bonne communicatrice, est bilingue=
,
d=E9montre d=92excellentes habilet=E9s de r=E9daction en anglais et de bonne=
s
habilit=E9s en fran=E7ais. Enfin, elle s=92int=E9resse au f=E9minisme et aux=
 rapports
de l=92art =E0 la communaut=E9.

Il s'agit d'un poste de quatre jours/semaine, 28 heures/semaine.
D=E9but : le 5 aout 2002.
Conditions salariales : 22 000$/an

Studio XX is now accepting applications for the position of Programming
Co-ordinator.




Studio XX is a media arts and multimedia resource centre for women. Our
mandate is twofold: we favour both the exhibition and the production of
technological and digital art works by women.

The Programming Co-ordinator is responsible for co-ordinating public events
at Studio XX, and supervising collaborative projects with artists and=20
other artist centres. The Programming Co-ordinator directs the Femmes
Br@nch=E9es (show-and-tell series on women and technology), other special
events, collaborations and co-productions and the artists in residence
program. The Programming Co-ordinator will supervise the Studio1s monthly
electronic newsletter and oversee its inclusion on the web site. The
Programming Co-ordinator would also be expected to provide the general
manager with support in writing grant applications, and to work with a
programming committee.

The ideal candidate should possess a strong knowledge of new technologies=20
and new media art (particularly web art); have an understanding of the
challenges facing artist-run centres; and possess a good ability to work in
a team environment.  Ideally the candidate will be fluently bilingual
(English/French), with strong communication skills and excellent writing
skills in english.

The position is 4 days a week, 28 hours a week.
Beginning: August 5, 2001
Salary: $22 000 a year.
