THE 3rd PROGRAMME

International Forum of Experimental Film, Video and New Media Technolgy 

Dubrovnik
6th - 13th September 2002


The objective of this presentational, informative and educational conference is to present recent European experimental digital film and video art production, along with new multimedia computer technology.  The intention is to define the characteristics and trends, the attainments and innovations, mutual influences, and comparability and links, accompanied by possible forecasts concerning the technological and creative orientations with social, psychological and environmental shifts, which will unfold in future art communication and production in the new media areas, the Internet and Cyberspace.  The programme will engage 12 persons from European media institutions, curators, and theoreticians in the media arts, and take place at the exhibition premises of the Lazareti in Dubrovnik. The programme will be presented in the form of screenings and broadcasts, following on from introductory commentaries, and in the form of demonstrations of and lectures on the field of new multime
 dia technology.  The programme will be accompanied by a bi-lingual Croatian/English, mainly textual, catalogue.
