The project group REINIGUNGSGESELLSCHAFT present a photo series taken along
motorways, the photographs being taken while driving. The pictures show
persons standing on bridges over the highway and observing the traffic. This
series of images is an attempt to place the phenomenon of 'motorway
observers' into a discursive context. The motorway functions as a longer arm
of the city into the landscape. The motorway observer embodies the
folklorized voyeurism of an event-society.
