Jury of the 7th International Video Festival VideoMedeja, which was
consisted of following members: Sanja Ivekovic (Zagreb), Milos Vojtechovsky
(Prague) and Mileta Postic (Novi Sad), made a decision only to award works
conceived as a video intended for projection (single-channel). CD ROMs,
installations and audio performances were not taken into consideration
because the Jury believes that those categories deserve a special award.

The "Sphinx" prize - Euro 500.00 -  for the best work in the selection of
competitors was awarded to Andrea Arnold (UK) for the "Dog" (2001).
The "Bogdanka Poznanovic" prize for the best young author on the festival -
production and
postproduction of one video at VideoMedeja studio - was awarded to Lala
Rascic (Croatia), for "17 stories" (2001). Although it was presented as
installation, members of the jury decided to grant this award because it was
conceived as a video piece.

Jury made a unanimous decision to establish the third prize, Award of the
Audience for the best work. In order to carry out the Jury's decision
successfully, we invited all of the audience to send in their votes to
VideoMedeja's office e mail (videomed at neobee.net), till 1st of May, at
latest. Voting results have shown that award goes to video installation
"Canon on The Table (project kitchen 2000-) by Kaoru Motomiya (Japan).
