Portals of Experimental Space No D(imension) get open for 2 days for
visitors, viewers and participants from streets, homes, shelters and
terminals from many venues across the world. Via the electronic network we
can listen, talk, share and exchange our lived experiences. The program is
produced by/for those who are mostly excluded from benefits of communication
technology, are surviving on the society margins and, criminalized and
victimized by massmedia manipulation. Multilayer electronic bridge connects
people without (and with) homes, without (and with) ID, without (and with)
passports and without (and with) chances to travel, mostly without money,
and far from the opportunities offered by the new united and "liberated
Europe". Flow of images, sounds and texts covers individual stories,
captured faces and messages can circulate via fiberglas pipes from one city
and its outskirts to other cities and back, from homes to shelters, from
shelters to prisons.
The goal of the pilot broadcast is to raise questions concerning shifts
between the notions home - shelter - prison and to shed light on variety of
living conditions of various citizens across nations. A stream of
prerecorded pictures and sounds will be exchanged as well as live presented
during the event. Sounds and texts recorded by people living on the streets
linked with improvised happenings, meals, performances on site. A temporary
autonomous TV studio from cardboard and scratch will be built for this very
occasion in NoD, serving as a symbolic amplifyer for voices seldom heard in
the cultural or artistic contexts. To accept diversity and solidarity means
to try to comprehend wide range of languages and dialects, even if one
doesn´t understand the words.
