at kunstlerhaus buchsenhausen, weiherburggasse 13, innsbruck, austria
the subject of the project "living units" by mona vatamanu and florin
tudor (http://www.exapes.org/persepolis.html <http://www.exapes.org>)
are forms and functions of serial architecture and the life conditioned
by it in a post-communist urbanity. in "living units - consuming the
city" they continue their artistic research in a different context
determined by western consumerism and the specific functionalized
natural environment in and arround the city of innsbruck.
"living units - consuming the city" has been produced at kunstlerhaus
buchsenhausen.

mona vatamanu and florin tudor,* **1968 in constanta / *1974 in gèneve,
work together since 2000 and live in bucharest. recent solo exhibitions
at the "2020 home gallery", bucharest (2004) and at the ludwig museum of
contemporary art in budapest (project room, 2003). their installations
and video works have been shown in many international group exhibitions
("revolutions reloaded", artra gallery, milano / play gallery berlin,
2004; "terrorvision", exit art gallery, new york, 2004; 50. biennial,
venice, "utopia station" (insert in border devices / multiplicity
collective), 2003; 8. biennial of architecture in venice, romanian
pavillon, 2002; isea 2002, nagoya, 2002) and at international festivals
( cybersonica 03, ica london, 2003; stuttgarter filmwinter, 2003;
loop'00, barcelona, 2003; medienturm graz, 2003; backup festival for new
media, bauhaus weimar, 2002).
