Der Newsletter von "Kontakt. Das Programm für Kunst und 
Zivilgesellschaft der Ersten Bank-Gruppe in Zentraleuropa" erscheint 
monatlich. Er informiert über Kunst, Wissenschaft und soziale 
Anliegen in Zentraleuropa. Wir schicken Ihnen diesen Newsletter, da 
wir hoffen, daß Sie mit uns in Kontakt sein wollen.

Am 23.4.2004 präsentierte die Erste Bank in den Räumlichkeiten ihres 
Kooperationspartners Secession "Kontakt. Das Programm für Kunst und 
Zivilgesellschaft der Erste Bank-Gruppe in Zentraleuropa". Das 
Programm setzt Eigeninitiativen und geht Partnerschaften mit 
Institutionen, Initiativen und KünstlerInnen ein, die im 
zentraleuropäischen Raum in zeitgenössischer Kunst-, Kultur- und 
Theorieproduktion sowie in Bildungs- und Sozialprojekten arbeiten. 
Neben dem wirtschaftlichen Netzwerk der Erste Bank-Gruppe wird auf 
diese Weise ein soziokulturelles Netzwerk aufgebaut, das wesentlich 
zum gemeinsamen Erfolg und zur Verständigung in der Region beiträgt.

Mit Kontakt verfolgt die Erste Bank-Gruppe folgende inhaltliche Schwerpunkte:
- Transformation sozial verantwortlich gestalten
- Bildung und Forschung unterstützen
- Kulturelle Infrastruktur und Zusammenarbeit fördern
- Unabhängige kreative Strategien ermöglichen

Das zentrale Kommunikationstool für und von Kontakt ist die Website 
www.kontakt.erstebankgroup.net. Neben einer Datenbank mit den 
Kultur-, Bildungs- und Sozialprojekten der Erste Bank-Gruppe liefern 
ein elektronisches Magazin sowie ein Veranstaltungskalender laufend 
aktuelle und relevante Informationen aus dem zentraleuropäischen 
Raum. Im Bereich Workshop werden konkrete soziale Themen- und 
Fragestellungen langfristig, aus unterschiedlichen Blickwinkeln und 
mit verschiedenen ästhetischen Strategien beleuchtet.

Society Program of Erste Bank Group in Central Europe." With this 
newsletter we want to inform you on arts, sciences and social issues 
in Central Europe. We sent it to you because we hope you will enjoy 
being in Kontakt with us.

On April 23rd Erste Bank presented "Kontakt. The Arts and Civil 
Society Program of Erste Bank Group in Central Europe" in the venues 
of its partner-institution Secession in Vienna.
Kontakt seeks to give fresh impetus for new strategies in 
cross-border cooperation and invites individuals, institutions and 
organizations to work in joint independent initiatives. In this way a 
socio-cultural network alongside the business network of the Erste 
Bank Group is established which contributes much to mutual success 
and to mutual understanding in the region.

With Kontakt, Erste Bank Group is pursuing the following substantive 
priorities:
- Making Transformation Socially Compatible
- Support for Education and Research
- Promotion of Cultural Infrastructure and Cooperation
- Enabling Independent Creative Strategies

The central communications tool for and operated by Kontakt is the 
website www.kontakt.erstebankgroup.net. Along with a database 
covering the cultural, educational and social projects of the entire 
Erste Bank Group, an electronic magazine and a calendar of events 
provide constantly updated and relevant information from and on 
Central Europe. In our workshops, we illuminate issues of work, and 
life in general, of long-term concern to us from different 
standpoints employing a variety of esthetic strategies.
