is "Family Portrait" version 2

a collaborative project between the female members of the Partnoy Family 
and Agricola de Cologne. 
"Family Portrait" gives an impressive insight into a Jewish family, 
once escaped from persecution in Europe, which found itself 
like thousands of other families persecuted during the military dictatorships in Argentina. 
The main protagonists are Raquel Partnoy, mother and grandmother, her daughter Alicia 
and her granddaughter Ruth, all of them artistically creative in diffrent disciplines. 
Version 2 is extending the view on the family structures, by including 
articles written by Raquel's husband Salomon and his brother Jose Partnoy, 
entitled "Argentina in Flames", further is added the new chapter "Between two skies" 
which offers a new context of visual and poetic art works by the female family members extended through artworks by the granddaughters Eva and Anahi. 
"Family Portrait" is a documentary, how systematically the structures of a family 
has been destroyed in the darkest times of Argentinian history. 
A video lecture by Raquel Partnoy, streaming online, is an appeal 
that persecution and the war against its own population executed by the military regime, 
must not happen again, not in Argentina and not elsewhere on the globe. 
 
The project shows also and reminds us while commemorating the "Night of Broken Glass" 
on 9 November, when thousands of Jewish synagogues had been destroyed in one single night, 
that phenomena like Holocaust, persecution and extermination form the basis of any totalitarian regime 
and it happens still in certain parts on the globe. Not one single of those victims must be forgotten.

a project by marc Grellert, which makes the attempt to reconstruct virtually really many of those synagogues 
in Germany which were destroyed during the long "Night of Broken Glass" in November 1938. 
The project gives evidence, how the Nazi regime started to exterminate an essential part of German und European history and identity. 
The project is available bi-lingual in German-English.
