1. Electrohype exhibition at Gothenburg Museum of Art, opening on 
Saturday February 19th

The Electrohype organization just recently decided to close down its 
activities but we are mobilizing some extra energy and are presenting 
an exhibition at Gothenburg Museum of Art. The exhibition will 
present a selection of artworks that was shown in the Electrohype 
2004 exhibition that recently attracted much attention in Malmo 
Konsthall.

The exhibition is titled Electrohype/segment and will be on show from 
February 19th to April 17th 2005.

3. Electrohype and the near future

As you might now we are running out of funding and the city of Malmo 
Art Council did not grant us the basic funding we needed to keep the 
galley and office during 2005. A few weeks ago we were also turned 
down by the Swedish national council for cultural affairs so things 
don't look to bright at the moment. We have recently decided to close 
down the organizations activities but the organization itself will 
continue to exist. The contract for the office and gallery space runs 
until the last of June this year and we will try to organize a few 
smaller exhibitions in the gallery during the spring. Fore more info

1. Electrohype utställning i Göteborgs Konstmuseum /Falkhallen 
vernissage lördag 19 februari

Föreningen Electrohype beslutande nyligen att lägga ner verksamheten 
men vi gör en sista kraftansträngning och visar utställningen 
Electrohype/utsnitt i Göteborgs Konstmuseum. Utställningen 
presenterar ett urval av de konstverk som visades i den 
uppmärksammade utställningen Electrohype 2004 i Malmö konsthall.

Utställningen i Göteborg har fått titeln Electrohype/utsnitt och 
kommer att visas i Falckhallen under perioden 19 februari - 17 april 
2005.

3. Electrohype och framtiden

Som ni kanske vet är våran nuvarande finansiering på upphällning och 
Malmö Kulturstöd gav avslag på våran ansökan om verksamhetsstöd för 
2005, ett stöd vi hade behövt för att behålla kontorslokal och 
galleri under året. För ett par veckor sedan fick vi också avslag på 
våran ansökan om verksamhetsstöd hos Kulturrådet så situationen ser 
inte så ljus ut just nu. Vi har bestämt oss för att lägga ner 
organisationens verksamhet men föreningen Electrohype kommer att 
fortfarande att existera, även i framtiden. Kontraktet på vårt kontor 
och galleriet löper fram till sommaren och vi vill därför försöka att 
anordna ett par mindre utställningar i vårt egna galleri under våren.
