simon, nat, et al.
i've been following this discussion with a growing mixture of amazement
and disgust - i thought the height of political correctness was long
over, but obviously i was wrong.
nat's message from tuesday seemed, to me at least, like the perfect
round-up of this discussion, but obviously that opinion is not shared.
From: Simon Biggs
> Clearly you do not accept the value of this approach. Can I ask you
> whether you supported the boycott of SA at the time it happened? Would
> you still support it, retrospectively? If not, why not,
> If you did/do accept the value of the SA boycott then why is this
> unsuited to the current situation in Israel?
simon, quoting from nat's message that you quoted in its entirety:
>> as for the strategy of cultural boykott: i respect your position, but
>> personally i have never believed in (cultural) collective punishment.
it seems to me that nat already answered all of your questions in a
very clear and concise way....
