Silent*Observers is an ongoing media project dedicated to mediating local
ambient experiences through computer networks, using observation as method
and streaming media as carrier...
It's initiated in 2003 by Multimedia Institute in Zagreb, with support of
Center for Research in Computing and Arts at University of California SD
and THE THING in NYC. With the aim to research, produce new works, exhibit
and publishon methods of mediated observation and net streaming.
Silent*Observers is entering it's public phase with exhibition in Museum
of Modern and Contemporary Art in Rijeka (Croatia) with the artistic and
production contributions of: Jussi Angesleva and Ross Cooper, Wolfgang
Staehle and Jan Gerber, Natalie Jeremijenko and Kate Rich, Caspar Stracke,
Carol Hobson, Marisa Jahn, Inke Arns, Agnese Trocchi, Pablo de Soto of
Hackitectura, Luka Frelih, MP Hacklab (Pula), e-Lab (Riga), Cube Cinema
(Bristol), Riereta (Barcelona)...
