"Call me a communist or this and that. I am a taitor, traitor, traitor,
traitor." (Ray Bremser - Poem of Holy Madness, part iV)

Dear friends,

Now available:

12 GREAT AMERICANS - the first of a series of collaborations of Sea Urchin
Editions and Cold Turkey Press. The audio CD 12 GREAT AMERICANS contains all
tracks of the rare and sought-after LP "A Cold Turkey Press Special" (1972)
with poetry readings by leading countercultural poets such as Ed Sanders,
Diane di Prima, Ray Bremser, and Allen Ginsberg. The poetry readings were
recorded by Carl Weissner of Klactoveedsedsteen magazine between 1966 and
1968. Of Weissner's master tape for the LP some 48 minutes were actually
released in 1972. Some 18 minutes of poetry readings by Ray Bremser, Charles
Bukowski, Ted Berrigan a.o. remained virtually unreleased. The CD 12 GREAT
AMERICANS contains all readings of the master tape.

At the moment the Historisch Museum, Rotterdam shows a selection from Gerard
Bellaart's Cold Turkey Press archives before they are shipped to the US. The
small vitrine show contains many rare and beautiful items such as a letter
from Paul Bowles to his mother (Tangier, 1931), letters from Sinclair Beiles
and Charles Bukowski to Gerard Bellaart (1970), rare Antonin Artaud
editions, delicate Starstreams Poetry editions and photographs by Ira Cohen
from his days in Kathmandu, posters and pamphlets by Heathcote Williams, and
of course Cold Turkey editions.
