4 November: Museum night at the Waag building.
Apart from a vodka robot artist Richard Trevors (Subangeridgi, 1946)
introduces a robot DJ. The internet radio station of Holland’s most
confrontational art school, the Rietveld, will present reports from
the other locations and a lot of more or less middle of the road
music. As well the Waag will be showing a best of the projects of the
last 10 years.
9 November: evening about Moroccan women and voting rights.
The union of Moroccan women in the Netherlands http://www.mvvn.nl
presents a DVD, made to inform Moroccan women of their voting rights
and the elections. After this a talk show about why immigrant women
are rarely politically involved and the way this can be changed, with
politicians and other people involved.
22 November: election night
Presented by Rob Zwetsloot, journalist and television personality in
co-operation with de Balie. There is a direct connection to de Balie
and viewers will be invited to participate. Politicians will debate
about the results and the Netherlands after the 22nd of November.
29 November: Think global, act local,
An evening hosted by the Austrian/Serbian artist Alexander Nicolic on
local video projects that are happening on a global scale. Subjects
are Slum TV and the projects of Lucrezia Cippitelli in Cuba.
Cippitelli will show new work and Nicolic will screen work that was
just finished, the project SuperCamp, in co-operation with the WdKA.
