Dear friends of poetry films

The programme of the 3rd ZEBRA Poetry Film Award is fixed, the entire
spectrum of life on show in poetry film ö for four days, from 11th to
14th October 2006, the Literaturwerkstatt Berlinâs 3rd ZEBRA Poetry
Film Award will demonstrate the connection between poetry and film.

Events focussing on individual countries are dedicated to current
work by poetry filmmakers from the Netherlands, Canada and Great
Britain. In ãMade in Germanyä, productions from Germany come to the
fore. Animated films, poetry films from the East German underground
and cinematic versions of famous poems are further themes. A new
feature of this festival is an independent programme for children
aged 6 to 12, showing films from Europe, America and Asia.

Filmmakers from 51 countries entered over 600 films for the 3rd ZEBRA
Poetry Film Award. Thirty-four of these films were then selected by
the programme commission to take part in the competition, and from
11th to 14th October 2006 they will be fighting for the favour of the
jury and the audience. Further films will also be shown in the
programme.
