SATURDAY KRO LAB

DJ by swinging tiny computers in tennis balls and socks around your  
body; discover where gaming meets mobile social software; take a  
gallery tour of Manchester's main shopping arcade; hack wireless CCTV  
while talking a stroll through the streets of Manchester, and fly  
kites equipped with CCTV cameras.


BARRY MILES / FAUST / WOLFGANG FLUR (KRAFTWERK) - ARTIST TALKS

A rare chance to meet up close and enter into conversation with some  
of the key figures from the last 40 years of popular music culture.


USE YOUR IMAGINATION

A major one-day event: meet the makers of the mobile phone ads that  
feature flexible city scapes and collapsing buildings; discover where  
art meets social technologies; get involved in writing the future of  
the next few hundred years; come find your new collaborative partner.


ENVIRONMENT 2.0

A cross section of speakers launch a wide-ranging project on the  
sustainability of future arts and technologies. Introducing a  
masterplan to take eco-clubbing to the world, including an  
electricity-generating dancefloor; plans to provide mobile phones  
with new "super-senses" so that you and I can join together to  
monitor environmental change; and investigate the question "how green  
is the internet".


FREE STUDIO

There is today a grass roots open source movement that is sweeping  
across Brazil like wild fire and captivating the world's imagination.  
Join the leading figures from Brazil in discussions and presentations  
and help to establish a local group based on the Brazilian model.


DORKBOT

Manchester's first Dorkbot, an informal gathering and Show 'n' Tell  
for artists, musicians, video makers, inventors, hackers,  
engineers ... anyone doing strange things with electricity
