E:vent presents an unofficial and totally antithetical Frieze afterparty
at Old Blue Last in Shoreditch with headlining art/music crossover
performances by Paper Rad and 8 Bit Construction Set along with banging
party DJ sets by American DJs Shoulders, Bitch Ass Darius and Paul B.
Davis.

Internationally-renowned art crew PAPER RAD perform with their
hyperactive visuals and music, using 90’s-influenced graphics from video
games to cartoon icons, performed in venues as disparate as tiny
basement clubs to the Museum of Modern Art, New York. Their distinct,
technicolor rave style has had them produce music videos for Beck, The
Gossip and Lightning Bolt in addition to their own body of artwork that
includes dizzying videos, prints, paintings, comics and zines.

8 BIT CONSTRUCTION SET reunite for a performance that reinvents their
cult 2001 self-titled release on Beige Records. Pioneering the use of
hacked video game consoles for music in the late 90’s (in their case,
Ataris), XLR8R magazine called 8 Bit Construction Set’s release, one of
the best selling DJ battle records of all time, ‘absolute genius’.

In support is Beige side project band THE POTIONS, an art/noise
performance as wizards; DJ SHOULDERS in an aerobatic hyped-up set from
Chicago’s Thrill Jockey Records; DJ BITCH ASS DARIUS, on Detroit
ghettotech legend DJ Godfather’s DataBass label; and Beige’s own PAUL B.
DAVIS, sometimes operating as DJ Brains (7 Year Glitch, Do It!) in an
experimental circuit-bent DJ set.
