UEA's School of Music - renowned for the
activities of its electroacoustic studios for
over 30 years - is expanding. A new undergraduate
degree in 'Music and Technology' will run from
Autumn 2009, building on the School's reputation
for research in this area.
We will shortly be recruiting new academic staff
to support the new programme, but the initial
search is for an extraordinary
Technician/Demonstrator to support the studio
community.

FACULTY OF ARTS AND HUMANITIES: SCHOOL OF MUSIC

Technician/Demonstrator * Ref: TC304

£19,645 to £22,765 per
annum

This full-time, indefinite post is available with
effect from 1 April 2009, to support teaching,
research and wider musical activities.

The School is a dynamic community with a strong
record in creative work and innovative research.
Its strengths in Electroacoustic music and Sonic
Arts will be developed through the introduction
of a new programme in Music and Technology in
2009-10. You will manage and maintain digital and
analogue equipment in the Electroacoustic
Studios, and in the School in general, and
provide technical support for research, teaching
and performance. The demonstration of
contemporary music software to students will
require excellent communication skills. You will
also maintain the content, software and hardware
of the School's web infrastructure.

Closing date: 12 noon on 3 March 2009.
