Projektvorschläge und Portfolios für das Ausstellungsprogramm im
KUNSTPAVILLON und in der NEUEN GALERIE der Tiroler Künstlerschaft in
Innsbruck

Der Verein Tiroler Künstlerschaft begreift sich als ein Forum für Kunst
in Tirol, eine Schnittstelle zwischen den professionellen bildenden
KünstlerInnen, die in Tirol leben oder aus Tirol stammen, der
interessierten Öffentlichkeit und anderen kulturellen Institutionen im
In- und Ausland. Eine wichtige Aufgabe der Tiroler Künstlerschaft
besteht darin, Kontakte zu international tätigen KünstlerInnen,
KuratorInnen und TheoretikerInnen zu knüpfen und zu pflegen.

Das Ausstellungsprogramm im KUNSTPAVILLON und in der Stadtturmgalerie
stellte Projekte von Tiroler KünstlerInnen in einen internationalen
Zusammenhang. Anfang 2011 übersiedelt die Stadtturmgalerie in die
Hofburg und bietet als NEUE GALERIE in dem spannenden historischen
Gebäudekomplex mehr Platz für künstlerische Projekte. Der Schwerpunkt
des Programms des Kunstpavillons und der Neuen Galerie liegt in der
Präsentation von Kunstproduktion mit Tirolbezug, Ausstellungen von
externen KuratorInnen und KünstlerInnen aus dem Ausland und anderen
österreichischen Bundesländern sind wichtige Punkte der
Auseinandersetzung und bieten spannende Reibungsflächen.

Das Jahresprogramm im Kunstpavillon und in der Neuen Galerie wird primär
aus Einreichungen im Zuge eines offenen Ausschreibungsverfahrens von
einer Fachjury zusammengestellt. Die Ausschreibung ergeht an die
Mitglieder des Vereins und überregional an KünstlerInnen und
KuratorInnen. Die Fachjury besteht aus Mitgliedern des Vorstandes und
externen ExpertInnen.

und vergangene Ausstellungsprogramm. 2011 sind fünf Ausstellungen im
Kunstpavillon und fünf in der Neuen Galerie vorgesehen.

Project proposals and portfolios for the exhibition program at
KUNSTPAVILLON and NEUE GALERIE of the Tiroler Künstlerschaft in
Innsbruck

The Tyrolean Artists’ Association is conceived of as a forum for art in
Tyrol, as an interface between professional visual artists living in or
originating from Tyrol, the interested public, and other cultural
institutions in and outside of Austria. An important task for the
Association is forming and maintaining contacts to internationally
active artists, curators and theoreticians.

The exhibition programs of the KUNSTPAVILLON and the Stadtturmgalerie
presented projects by Tyrolean artists in relation to an international
context. The Stadtturmgalerie is moving into the Hofburg at the
beginning of 2011, where, as the NEUE GALERIE, it will offer more space
for artistic projects in the exciting historical complex of buildings.
The emphasis for the Kunstpavillon and Neue Galerie programme is placed
on presenting artistic production with a relationship to Tyrol.
Exhibitions by external curators and artists from abroad and other
Austrian federal states are important points of engagement and offer
exciting surfaces for friction.

The programs for the Kunstpavillon and the Neue Galerie are put together
by a jury of arts professionals primarily from submissions received in
response to an open call. The call is sent to members of the association
as well as to national and international artists and curators. The jury
of professionals is made up of members of the board of the association
along with external experts.

More information on current and past exhibition programs of the

in the Kunstpavillon and five in the Neue Galerie are intended for 2011.
