Dear all,
Arts de-funding is a topic that was extensively discussed at the
Eurozine Network meeting last month in Linz; Eurozine is planning
to have a publishing focus on the topic soon (Eurozine: Network of
European Cultural Journals and Netmagazine, http://www.eurozine.com)
Vicente, there are several organisations around whose purpose is to
lobby for culture in the EU; most importantly for the independent
/ alternative / non-commercial sector Culture Action Europe
(http://www.cultureactioneurope.org/ ), which is also a network of
cultural organisations all over Europe - they are in contact with
networks in each country; and these national networks are usually the
ones that already have the information on funding cuts etc.
So the most pragmatic way to go about it would probably be to join
forces with e.g. CAE.
Best,
Veronika
