BELLATRIX is the number one female beatboxer in the world. That’s an official title – from her wins at the world beatbox championships
– but it’s also true of her many live performances. She leads the soulful vocal group The Boxettes, who push the boundaries of what is
possible with the female voice.

CHIMP SPANNER (Paul Ortiz) is a progressive metal guitarist, combining heavy guitars with ambient textures, electronica and melodic
elements. Ortiz is a pioneer of the underground Djent metal subgenre.

FINN PETERS is one of the leading flute and sax players in the UK today. His widescreen approach to composition and improvisation comes from
working with some of the last decade’s most progressive artists. In 2009 he won the Radio 1 Worldwide Awards “Best Session” category and was
runner up in the “Best Album” category.

BOXCUTTER‘s continuously shape-shifting sound has long flowed beyond the bounds of what we call dubstep. His lead-heavy missives share
the cross-over appeal of Burial or Vex’d, whilst keeping a foot firmly in the more electronically-founded margins of the genre.
Boxcutter will headline the SuperCollider Club night at Corsica Studios, evolving his live bass and electronics set on their famously
gorgeous sound system.

Also providing live beats is NY/Berlin legend Timeblind, as well as Mexican party duo Mico Rex, and Louis Mac premiering his PortaDJ machine.
But it’s not all about beats: this midweek extravaganza also features mind-altering audiovisual performances from Japan’s Craftwife,
Berlin’s Fredrik Olofsson and Brighton’s Chris Kiefer (Luuma).

8pm–1:30am, Corsica Studios (Elephant & Castle tube).
Tickets are £5 advance, more on the door.

*Art*

An exhibition of interactive and audio-visual art at The Art Pavilion in Mile End Park, East London.

Curtis and Chad McKinney • Andre Bartetzki • Jan Trutzschler von Falkenstein and Mike Rijnierse •
Berdnt Schurer • Andrew Lambert • Till Bovermann • Simon Katan • Yorgos Diapoulis • Scott Nobles
