Dear Spectres,

Just in case you are able to get to Brighton this week, I would like  
to invite you to our exhibition previews taking place on Friday 4 May.

The series of openings begins at 16.30 at Lighthouse with a preview  
of 'Audience / Performer' by Iain Forsyth & Jane Pollard.
The evening continues with an opening at the University of Brighton  
galleries, before the launch of 'Sea of Voices' by Invisible Flock  
and a chance to see 'I See Infinite Distance Between Any Point and  
Another' by The Otolith Group - both co-commissioned by Lighthouse.

BRIGHTON FESTIVAL EXHIBITIONS LAUNCH

Brighton Festival is here again, and Lighthouse are delighted to be  
part of a group of organisations that invite you to the launch of a  
series of exhibitions, which together make up a large part of the  
visual arts strand of Brighton Festival 2012. This is a unique  
opportunity to take in four works by artists such as Iain Forsyth &  
Jane Pollard, Invisible Flock and The Otolith Group, all in one  
evening. There will be a tour of the exhibitions on Friday, starting  
at Lighthouse, moving on to University of Brighton, then to Fabrica,  
if you'd like to come along.

Experience the music of Nick Cave and The Cramps through the eyes of  
two of the UK’s most acclaimed contemporary artists working at the  
edge of performance and new media, in a brand new exhibition for  
Brighton Festival.

- Hangover Square - CINECITY and University of Brighton
Venue: University of Brighton Gallery, Grand Parade, Brighton

CINECITY, artist Anna Deamer and students from the University of  
Brighton and City College present a film set for an imaginary screen  
version of Patrick Hamilton's bleak hymn to obsessive desire.

- Sea of Voices - Invisible Flock
Venue: Starts at Fabrica, 40 Duke Street, Brighton

Brighton's seafront has been subtly transformed by artist-group,  
Invisible Flock. Embark on an interactive journey between Fabrica and  
the Brighton Marina, guided by storytelling, interactive maps and sea  
telescopes. Co-commissioned by Lighthouse.

- I See Infinite Distance Between Any Point and Another - The Otolith  
Group
Venue: Fabrica

Turner Prize nominated artists, The Otolith Group, poetically explore  
the sea as a site of myth, history and power in a new immersive film  
installation. Co-commissioned by Lighthouse.
