reboot.fm wishes our artists, friends, fans and listeners a Happy
2013! Our regular program is back on air January 11th. None of this
would be possible without the amazing artists and groups that produce
award winning radio: Thanks to all the reboot.fm artists!

We rang out 2012 with a special live broadcast of CC N° 1 Corruptive
Climate celebrating 10 years of Ausland e.V. (and nine years of radio
cooperation) and their excellent experimental art and music program.
Like our late summer cooperation with Datscha Radio, it is part of
keeping the reboot.fm artist run programing fresh and alive. We look
forward to more specials, cooperations and features in 2013. We are
kicking this off with "Was für eine Stadt?", a discussion on
Gentrification, City Tax und Kultur Politik at Südblock on January
24th.

reboot.fm is especially proud to take this moment to announce our new
international advisory board! We've worked hard for almost ten years
to bring the best of art, discourse and electronic music from Berlin
to the airwaves - and this board reflects people that have inspired,
influenced and supported this work. We thank
the reboot.fm international advisory board for their continued input
and support: Ute Meta Bauer, Ed Baxter, Franco "Bifo" Berardi, Kodwo
Eshun, Anselm Franke, Anna Friz, Andrej Holm, Tetsuo Kogawa, Matthias
Lilienthal, Hans Ulrich Obrist & Natascha Sadr Haghighian.

reboot.fm kept its art programming local and international with
regular shows from our 23 international art radio partners from the
award winning radia.fm network. This also included broadcasts with
Datscha Radio, the Berlin Bienale, Black Europe Body Politics and the
Sao Paualo Bienale. We are proud to cooperate with local music events
and program partners like amstart, ausland e.V., Down By the River,
Media Loca, Polyhymnia and the Toten Crackhuren im Kofferraum. As
ever, reboot.fm is grateful to the House of World Cultures for
supporting our studio space and Soundcloud for hosting our podcasts.
More to come this year!

We are doing our best to keep it real and local - for the moment two
camps in Xberg produce shows, demonstrations and are making waves for
state and local government: Kotti & Co. with the Gecekondu at
Kottbusser Tor and The Voice with the Protest Camp at Oranienplatz.

There are also a few new shows to welcome in the reboot.fm regular program:
Die Norm. (Wolfgang Müller), Drift Ashore (Groove Magazine), Ice Fm
(Radio Campus Paris), Missy's Mob (Missy Magazine), Radio Spaetkauf,
The Voices, and more to come in 2013!

Special congratulations to several reboot.fm artists are due: Rex
Joswig's Grenzpunkt Null won 1st Prize for best external show at our
radia.fm partner Radio Corax! Datscha Radio partner Gabi Schaffner's
radio play "Otto Mötö Into the Universe of Finnish Motor Music" won
the 2012  award "Hörspiel des Monats/Radio Play of the Month". The
"Mötö" was broadcast  on Hessian Cultural Radio, HR2 and on
deutschlandfunk. Upcoming  broadcasts in BR2 (18.1) and WDR3 (22.2).
reboot.fm editor at large Dr. Snakeskin aka Darius James returned to
Berlin to premiere the film he wrote "The United States of Hoodoo",
Popkontext's Barbara Muerdter published "Woody Guthrie - Die Stimme
des Anderen Amerika" with Eulenspiegel Verlag Berlin.

Reboot.fm wünscht allen KünstlerInnen, Freunden, Kollegen und Fans ein
glückliches neues Jahr! Unser regelmässiges Programm beginnt nun
wieder am 11. Januar.

Das Jahr 2012 klang mit einer speziellen Liveübertragung des CC Nr.1
Corruptive Climate, die 10 Jahre Ausland e.V. und 9 Jahre
Radio-Zusammenarbeit mit einem exzellenten experimentellen Kunst und
Musikprogramm feierten, aus. Die Übertragung war, ebenso wie unsere
Spätsommerkooperation mit Datscha-Radio, Teil unserer  Idee, das
Reboot.fm Programm frisch und lebendig zu halten. Deshalb freuen wir
uns auf mehr Sonderprogramme, Kooperationen und Features in 2013. Wir
starten  mit "Was für eine Stadt?", einer Diskussion über
Gentrifizierung, City Tax und Kulturpolitik am Südblock am 24. Januar.

Besonders freuen wir uns Euch endlich unser neues internationales
Beratergremium zu präsentieren! Wir haben knapp 10 Jahre hart
gearbeitet um das beste an Kunst, Diskursen und elektronischer Musik
aus Berlin auf die Radiowellen zu bringen - und dieses Gremium
entspricht den Menschen, die diese Arbeit inspirierten, beinflussten
und  unterstützten: Ute Meta Bauer, Ed Baxter, Franco "Bifo" Berardi,
Kodwo Eshun,
Anselm Franke, Anna Friz, Andrej Holm, Tetsuo Kogawa, Matthias
Lilienthal, Hans Ulrich Obrist & Natascha Sadr Haghighian.

Reboot.fm hielt sein Kunstprogramm lokal und international mit
regelmässigen Shows unserer 23 internationalen Radiopartner des
preisgekrönten Radia.fm netzwerkes auf dem Laufenden. Dies beinhaltete
Sendungen mit Datscha-Radio, der Berlin Biennale, Black Europe Body
Politics und der Sao Paulo Biennale. Wir sind stolz mit lokalen
Musikverstanstaltern und Programmpartnern wie Amstart, Ausland.e.V.,
Down By The River, MediaLoca, Polyhymnia und die Toten Crackhuren im
Kofferraum, zusammenzuarbeiten.

Besonders dankbar sind wir dem Haus der Kulturen der Welt  für die
Kooperation und Bereitstellung des Studioraums. Soundcloud danken wir
für deren Wertschätzung durch die Bereitstellung  eines Premium
Accounts und dem Sendeverbund 88vier danken wir für die reibungslose
Zusammenarbeit.

Wir tun unser Bestes um unser Programm konkret und lokal zu halten,
im Moment produzieren zwei Aktivisten-Camps in Xberg Sendungen, deren
Demonstrationen auf bundespolitischer und kommunalpolitischer Ebene
Wellen schlagen: kotti & co. mit Gecekondu am Kottbusser Tor sowie The
Voice mit dem Protest Camp am Oranienplatz bzw. Brandenburger Tor.

Besondere Glückwünsche gehen an: Rex Joswig's Grenzpunkt Null ,die
Sendung gewann den 1. Preis für die beste externe Show bei unserem
Radia Partner Corax (Halle) und Datscha-Radio Partner Gabi Schaffner'.
Sie gewann 2012 mit ihren Hörspiel “Otto Mötö. Im Universum finnischer
Motorenmusik” den Preis “Hörspiel des Monats. Die “Mötö” wurde auf HR2
und deutschlandfunk gesendet, weitere Ausstrahlungen folgen in BR2
(18.1) und WDR3 (22.2). Der Reboot.fm Auslandsberichterstatter Darius
James kam zur Premiere seines Films "The United States of Hoodoo"
zurück nach Berlin.  Barbara Mürdter (popkontext.de) veröffentlichte
das Buch "Woody Guthrie, die Stimme des Anderen Amerika" im
Eulenspiegel Verlag Berlin.

Außerdem begrüßen wir einige neue Shows bei reboot.fm: Die Norm.
(Wolfgang Müller), Drift Ashore (Groove Magazine),  Ice FM (mit Radio
Campus Paris), Missy Mob (die Missy Magazine Radio show), Radio
Spaetkauf, The Voices und mehr im Jahr 2013!
