Frown <http://www.frowntails.com/>- a creative platform based in Athens,
Greece with main focus on staging performances and hosting workshops
ofemerging technologies- is going on summer holidays and its space is
available to house creative individuals and their projects during the
period 30/07- 15/09/2013.
The 250sqm space spans over two levels in Monastiraki area, a
neighbourhood known as a hub for artistic life and traditional
craftsmanship, right in the heart of Athens. The lower floor offers a 60
sqm sprung floor area, ideal for dance and movement rehearsing.
The space comes fully equipped with tables, basic equipment, tools, wifi
internet connection, kitchen facilities: fridge, microwave oven and a
toilet. Rent is 120 euros/per week.
The space is ideal for working during the summer months.
If you are interested in spending a summer in Greece producing work with a
level of invention, creativity and craftsmanship beyond any constraints,
please contact us and send your portfolio and a short bio.
We are looking to accommodate a broad range of practises including
performing arts, visual arts, photography, design with the possibility of
further collaboration based on the work produced.
The project is non-residential therefore artists must find their own
accommodation in Athens.
Paid by artist:
The cost will be 120� per week: this covers the space and all the space’s
facilities
Application Guidelines and Criteria:
Frown is about giving artists the space to experiment and use the group
dynamic to push their practice and develop collaboration.
