"I am blind folded, a black silk scarf cloaks my eyes pressing my eye
lids tightly against my globes. I am spun around and around by a
member of the audience. All of sudden for no apparent reason my
twirling is stopped. That is my sign to walk forward, which I do with
my arm extended in front of me until the stick i hold touches the
wall. My collaborators yell out the names surrounding the place of
impact of stick. This is where my blindfolded lecture from memory
begins. For the diagram exists outside and inside my head as two
mutually inclusive conditions of knowledge." Warren Neidich

Some comments on my wall drawing as the above quote describes is a
wall drawing that is performed from memory by the blindfolded artist.
The drawing defines 'duende' a term which describes an inspired
Flamenco performance that is experienced collectively by an audience
as a loss of control. This diagram becomes an apparatus through which
the reproductive mechanisms of cognitive cultural capitalism that
reinforce the status quo of the information economy, are delinked not
only in the socio-cultural sphere but in the mind as well. After
assisting in the making of the diagram, during which they were
lectured about its contents, the students were encouraged to intervene
upon it with their own artworks or political statements.

In the Mind's I was a series of collaborative art works that Neidich
performed with the students in which each imagined a make believe
exhibition in a make believe exhibition space inside their head in the
space called the mind's eye. This space of inspection and envisioning
is the place where each projected their fictitious works on the screen
erected there. But the immateriality of this fantastic interior
projection will become a real art work at SOMA as each has been made
into externalized material installation on display.

Tweeting the Piñata is a collaborative work in which the artistic
community of SOMA has been asked to email in ideas for artworks that
are the size of tweets. These will be cut up into strips and placed
inside a green and white Pinata bought at the nearby market. At the
end of the performance Some Comments on My Wall Drawing, the stick
used as pointer in the perfomative lecture will be used to break open
the Pinata releasing these ideas.
