The 2014 I-Node ARA Grant Program

 Deadline: August 11, 2014 

The I-Node of the Planetary Collegium and its host Institution -Ionion
Center of Arts and Culture- are announcing three (3) grants for promising
researchers, to undertake post-doctoral study. Advanced Research Associates
are valued members of Planetary Collegium Community, playing a critical role
in Art|Sci|Tech Academic Community.

General Theme

Next Nature

New Technological developments and the new practice of science are bringing
new kinds of creativity in an integrated approach to real world problem
solving. They are culturally and academically desirable but they need the
syncretic standpoint so to launch new initiatives and productions that will
ensure the sustainability of research.

Application Process

Application

Applicants are required to send the following to ionionode at gmail.com 

1) Demonstrate their commitment to transdisciplinary research as well as
their artistic ability or practice.

Applicants will need to submit a full biographical note, work samples, and a
brief description (max. 400 words) of the issue they are working on as well
as their own experience with and connection to this topic.

2) Propose a project idea (max. 500 words)  that will use an existing or new
body of work to creatively move target  audiences  beyond  the  act  of
looking,  and  directly  engage  them  in  activities  or processes that
lead to change around the issue.

 

Notification & Announcement

Grantees will be publically announced in September, 2014.

After selection process, grantees will follow the normal application process
of Plymouth University, without evaluation.

The I-Node values diversity and encourages applications from all disciplines
provided that they are embedded in the transdisciplinary field of art |
science and technology. 

 

I-Node ARA Grant does not fund the entirety of the project costs and some
level of co-financing may be required.
