Games pioneers Katherine Bidwell, Mike Bithell, Jo Twistand Anna Marsh
share their experiences with Iain Simonsabout specific videogames and will
leave you with clear directions toward amazing new experiences.

The event will explore 'what we talk about when we talk about videogames':
Amazing!", "Complicated!", "Adolescent!", "Startlingly lacking in
diversity!" – to the outsider, videogames and videogame culture can be
seen as many things. The apparent benefits of videogames have been
broadcast widely, but they tend to return to the same non-specific themes:
problem solving, various therapeutic benefits and of course 'hand-eye
coordination'. This panel is going to get into the detail about what
videogames are, and what you and your family can gain (and lose) by
inviting them into your life.
