There are just two weeks left to apply for a Summer Sessions
residency. The deadline is May 15th, and there won’t be an extension
this time. On the 7th of May we host the first Bio+Art MeetUp for
everyone who is interested in the symbiotic relation between art and
the life sciences. Later on in May we present a two day conference
organized by Showroom MAMA on the visual culture of the internet.

Are you an ambitious, early career artist, full of ideas and ready to
realize your project this summer? Then apply for a Summer Sessions
residency by submitting a video, in which you briefly explain your
project, the support you need and why you should be a part of the
Summer Sessions. The Summer Sessions are short-term residencies for
young artists organized by a network of cultural organizations all
over the world. The Summer Sessions offer a highly productive
atmosphere with production support and expert feedback to jumpstart
your professional art practice. The result is a pressure cooker in
which you develop a project, from concept to presentable work, ready

Bio+Art MeetUp

On May 7th V2_ hosts its first Bio+Art Community MeetUp, a new
initiative to give the Dutch community of artists, designers, makers,
and researchers that are working on or with biotechnologies a place to
meet and discuss their work, ideas and recent developments. If you are
interested in the symbiotic relation between art and the life
sciences, then come by at V2_ on May 7 for a chat, a short pitch of
your work, or to simply share a drink with peers from the Bio+Art
community. Free entrance and cocktails will be served on the house as
long as they last!


The Internetional Symposium

The Internetional is a two-day symposium, organised by Showroom MAMA,
and hosted by V2_. It focuses on one of the most important areas of
visual culture today: the Internet. Curators, artists, and theorists
will discuss this topic with each other and the public in a diverse
program of panel discussions, dialogues, lectures, and workshops.
Featuring: Domenico Quaranta, Gene McHugh, JODI, Josephine Bosma,
Florian Cramer, Dennis de Bel, Wayne Horse, and many many others.
