*Caroline Corleone* beschäftigt sich seit über zwei Jahren mit der Farbe
Pink.
Auslöser war ein Pressefoto einer Demonstrationsszene in Kampala
(Hauptstadt von Uganda), auf dem eine Gruppe Demonstranten von einem
Wasserwerfer mit pink eingefärbtem Wasser auseinander getrieben
und gleichzeitig als subversive Elemente markiert wurde. Die Beispiele der
aktivistischen Verwendung dieser Farbe als eindringliches Signal häufen
sich
im global-politischen Kontext, es wird zur revolutionären Farbe des 21.
Jahrhunderts. Davon ausgehend stellt* Caroline Corleone* die Mittel ihrer
Malerei in Frage, verwendet die Pestizidspritze statt Dripping, den Super
Agent
(Water Gun) statt Airbrush, statt Pinsel Finger und Fäuste.

Die Heavy Petting Gallery ist ein Ort, an dem der direkte körperliche
Kontakt
zu künstlerischer Arbeit nicht nur stattfindet, sondern aktiv gefördert
werden
soll.

Die Heavy Petting Gallery handelt dabei weder didaktisch noch wohltätig.
Sie
erklärt so die Vernachlässigung von Sichtbarkeit nicht zur Not, die
gelindert
werden soll, sondern setzt sich als Projektraum für neue Formen
künstlerischer Arbeit und ihrer Emanzipation ein.

For more than two years *Caroline Corleone* deals with the color pink. The
trigger was a press photo of a scene of a demonstration in Kampala (capital
of
Uganda) where a water gun with pink water scattered and at the same time
marked a group of demonstrators as subversive elements. The examples of
activist usage of the color as an urgent signal accumulate within the
global
political context, it becomes the revolutionary color of the 21st century.
Taking
that into account, *Caroline Corleone* questions her painting tools, uses
the
pesticide hose instead of dripping, the water gun instead of Airbrush,
instead of
paintbrushes the fingers and fists.

The Heavy Petting Gallery is a place where the direct physical contact with
the
artistic work not only takes place but shall be actively encouraged.

Thereby the Heavy Petting Gallery is acting neither didactical nor
charitable. It
does not declare the negligence of visibility a distress that shall be
relieved but,
as a project space, campaigns for new forms of artistic work and their
emancipation.
